Twitch content creator Charlie “MoistCr1TiKaL” experimented with DreamStudio.ai, an AI-assisted art generation website, during a recent live stream.
After experimenting with various concepts for the artwork, some fans requested MoistCr1TiKaL to implement some over the top entries to create an artwork featuring Twitch star Felix “xQc”.
Charlie was initially skeptical of the idea, saying the entries had little chance of success. However, he was impressed when the AI created a rather attractive piece of art of xQc. MoistCr1TiKaL exclaimed:
“Wow! Holy crap! That’s pretty good!”
MoistCr1TiKaL creates unique xQc art in DreamStudio.ai and is amazed at how good it looks
During a broadcast on September 4, Charlie spent time creating AI-generated artwork in DreamStudio.ai and enlisted the help of his viewers to come up with unique concepts.
After creating some simple art showing SpongeBob catching a jellyfish, a viewer presented Charlie with the following idea, which read:
“A realistic xQc photo by John Singer Sargent. Highly detailed, surrealism, trending on ArtStation, triadic color scheme, sharp soft focus, matte, elegant, most beautiful image ever seen, illustration, digital painting, dark, somber, rendered octane, 8K, 4K, washed out colors, sharp dramatic lighting, beautiful, post processing, picture of the day, ambient lighting, epic composition.”
MoistCr1TiKaL was initially concerned about the request and speculated that the highly detailed image requirements would not work. He commented:
“Okay, why do people keep saying this when it’s not going to work? There’s a 0% chance it will work. One of your descriptors is ‘beautiful’. How is an AI supposed to interpret beauty?”
At that instant, a rather amazing image appeared, which shocked the personality of Twitch. Charlie jokingly mentioned:
“That’s like xQc for the Netflix adaptation. I can’t believe it worked!”
Some fans humorously compared xQc’s appearance to famous soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimović:
One Redditor found the unexpected artwork to be “really cool”:
Redditor u/GardinerExpressway corrected the Twitch stream, noting that AI can’t interpret beauty as it has to discover common features in training footage:
Some members of the community joked that “we are living in a simulation”:
Meanwhile, others turned to another AI imaging platform developed by OpenAI and showed their result:
Here are some more reactions from fans:
xQc commented on the artwork created by AI during his broadcast today, calling it “rare”. He also claimed that he found the artwork strange because the AI misread some of its features.
