The historical marker will be placed on Green Lake’s Town Square – Friday

A 123-year-old building in downtown Green Lake will soon display signs marking its placement on the National Register of Historic Places.

The public will be at the Town Square Community Center, 492 Hill St.

The Town Square Community Center received a grant from the William G. Pomeroy Foundation to purchase a plaque commemorating the history of the Green Lake County Courthouse now occupied by Town Square.

“The courthouse has been on the national register for 40 years, but passersby don’t know because there are no signs that indicate the building’s importance,” said Town Square Executive Director Kris Anderson. “This fund allows us to finally show off an official marker to celebrate its rich history in our community.”

Market in Town Square — Friday

The Market in Town Square is an outdoor event every Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm. It offers farm fresh produce and handmade items.

“Enjoy the flavors as local growers and artisans showcase their wares that you and your family will love,” says Town Square. “Live music, kids activities and more.”

Live Music at Vines & Ruses — Friday and Saturday

Vines & Ruses Winery will host Live Music featuring Sam Luna on Friday from 17:30 to 20:30.

“Originally from Tuba City, Ariz and now residing in Ripon, Sam’s music and smile are infectious,” the winery says. “Truly inspiring as a musician and artist in communities near and far.”

Vines & Russhes Winery will host Live Music featuring Erin Krebs and Jeff Johnston on Saturday from 14:00 to 17:00.

“Erin often works as a duo with her partner guitarist Jeff Johnston. With over 30 years of performance, she has developed a highly traveling musical fluency that complements Erin’s extensive repertoire and songwriting style,” says the winery. “Together, Erin and Jeff deliver a dynamic and versatile musical experience for their listeners.”

Tom Winkers lives on The Tap – Friday

Town Square Tap will host live music from Tom Winkers from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday

“Tom has been playing trumpet, saxophone, guitar and vocals professionally for over 30 years and started performing acoustic solos (guitar/vocals) a few years ago,” Town Square says.

Bargain Harvest sale — Saturday and Sunday
