In their regular column, the staff at Jerry Green Dog Rescue hope to find a home for adorable Jess and also offer pet exercise classes.
Are you looking for a group where you can socialize and exercise your dog while learning about your dog’s health and well-being?
Maybe our new Sit Stay Fit sessions are what you’re looking for!
So what is it?
A one-hour monthly session focused on canine health and well-being. Each month there will be a short talk, demonstration or workshop on a range of topics from grooming to nutrition, followed by a social walk around the centre. There is the option to weigh your dog monthly, a great option for overweight dogs to track progress, but also useful for monitoring the growth of young dogs or just knowing your dog’s weight. These sessions are a great opportunity to learn about nutrition, socialize your dog, and discover creative ways to keep your dog active.
What do we have in store for you and your dog?
We’ll help you track your dog’s weight by starting the session with a woof weigh-in, our staff will then lead a workshop on topics such as active enrichment, nutrition through life stages and how to assess body condition. The session will end with a social walk so your dog can burn off some energy.
How much does it cost?
There is no charge but all donations are welcome and greatly appreciated.
These sessions take place in each of our centers but places are limited. To register your interest and reserve your place, please email [email protected]
When: April 1, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Where: Jerry Green Dog Rescue, Marsh Lane, Algarkirk, PE20 2BB
Could you offer Jessie a house?

Hello everyone, my name is Jessica or Jessie for short. I am looking for a new home with understanding dog owners.
A quiet house would be perfect, I like to lounge on the sofa and take naps and would like to have access to a garden that I can walk in with a 6 foot limit.
I’m very playful and love tossing toys, you can’t help but smile looking at me!
I would like to have calm dog friends to interact with on my walks.
At the moment I would prefer to be the only dog in the house, but I may be able to live with small furry animals as long as they are kept in a secure enclosure.
I love hanging out with people I know but I can be sad when I’m gone, you can start accumulating my tee times once I’m settled in.
I can live with kids 16+ as long as we make friends on the visits.
If you would like to know a bit more about me call my friends in South Lincolnshire on 01205 260546 or email [email protected] to request an application form.
Don’t forget to leave your phone number!
