Hall of Fame architect and interior designer Lauren Rottet, FAIA, FIIDA, has opened a new 3,900-square-foot showroom at 29 West 30th Street, Sixth Floor, to showcase their Rottet furniture collection. The new design environment gives expression to Rottet’s deft hand, whether in a residential, commercial or hotel environment. Furnishings are arranged in vignettes, decorated with complementary accessories by Rottet styled with plantings, organic shapes and contemporary art. Each piece is a thoughtful expression of art and function inspired by the Light and Space movement and Rottet’s history of art and architecture.

Light, reflection and visual engagement are key components in the showroom. From the Walking Bench, with its angled legs, to the colorful and translucent Dicroica Table and Egg Mirrors, the room is lit. Rottet “Powerful” desks and cabinets are stylish, versatile and provide hidden access to electrical outlets. The pieces in the Rottet collection are akin to functional art, bringing energy, reflection and flexibility to any environment.

The blurring of indoors and outdoors is also on display with an organically inspired marble and basalt collection including angular tables, planters, fire pit and fountain. Rottet’s custom line of leather rugs for Kyle Bunting and his Fascio Collection of lighting for Visual Comfort & Co. are also displayed.

“In a throwaway world, the Rottet Collection is produced with the finest materials and workmanship, designed to last and passed down from generation to generation. It elevates the furniture, like a “collectible” art object in the room,” said Rottet. “We are excited to introduce our New York showroom to the market.”
