Roadrunners Return Home for ‘Orange Out’ Game Against Texas Southern | UTSA Today | UTSA

Roadrunner fans of all ages can participate in free pre-game festivities at Rowdy Town, including a DJ, an inflatable obstacle course, interactive games, exhibits, food and beverage samples.

UTSA Alumni Association Roadrunner Nation Tailgate

The UTSA Alumni Association invites fans to the official Roadrunner Nation Tailgate. Enjoy food, drinks, activities and giveaways along with visits from UTSA Cheer, Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band and Rowdy the Roadrunner. Various Roadrunner Nation Tailgate ticket packages are available. Blue tickets are $20 and come with a food ticket and cash bar. Orange tickets are $45 and come with a food ticket and open bar privileges. An all-inclusive season pass can also be purchased this week for just $200.

Tickets are $10 for students ages 13 to 20, who receive a food stamp and a non-alcoholic beverage. Children up to 12 years old have free admission. Discounts are also given to members of the UTSA Alumni Association.

This exciting tradition has Roadrunner fans and the UTSA team excited for the game. Join the Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band and UTSA Spirit Squads as they escort the team through Roadrunner Alley and the Alamodome approximately two hours before each home game. Fans can line up on the walkway between Alamodome parking lots B and C to cheer on the team.

The UTSA Student Indoor Tailgate is where students go to connect, refresh and vibrate before the game. DJ Wynkoop and QuickStrike Entertainment will provide fun and excitement before kick-off. Free food and drinks will be available while supplies last and entry prizes such as game concession vouchers and UTSA clothing will be distributed. On each game day, different UTSA faculties and departments will be highlighted to connect students to important resources.



Tickets are on sale by calling or texting 210-458-UTSA (8872) or visiting UTSA transitioned to digital tickets through Account Manager. All students currently enrolled at UTSA are eligible for free entry to all home football games. UTSA students can purchase up to four tickets for student section seats.

For direct sales, the Southwest Alamodome box office will open at 10 am Saturday and all other Alamodome box offices will open at noon. Customer service showcases are located in the northeast and southeast box offices.

Game day parking and tailgating

Parking in Alamodome Lots A, B and C is limited to fans who have already purchased permits. A limited number of disabled parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The lots will open at 8:00 am for those with valid parking passes. Please DO NOT enter before 8 am or staff will ask you to vacate your spot(s) and re-enter once the lots are open. There are several public pay parking lots in the vicinity of the Alamodome.

Coming to the game

Students and their guests can park on the UTSA Main Campus and take a UTSA bus to the game at the North Paseo Bus Oval outside the North Paseo Building. Buses will begin service to the Alamodome at 11:30 am. The last bus to the game will leave the campus at 2pm. Students will be dropped off and collected at Robert Thompson Transit Station in the Alamodome. The buses will begin return service to UTSA at the beginning of the fourth quarter and the last bus from the Alamodome will depart one hour after the end of the game.

VIA has announced that it will serve UTSA home football games. VIA’s Park & ​​Ride Service offers round-trip travel to the Alamodome for just $2.60. Service for all UTSA home games will be provided from Crossroads Park & ​​Ride starting three hours before game time, and return service will run for one hour after each game. The Park & ​​Ride fare is $1.30 one way with discounts available for children, seniors, students and active duty military personnel. Pre-purchase tickets on the VIA goMobile+ app, available for free download on Apple and Android devices. Cash and credit cards are accepted on game day at the Crossroads Park & ​​Ride venue.

UTSA students can use their U-Pass to provide services to the game. VIAtrans customers and children under 5 years travel free of charge. VIA bus passes are not valid for this service. The VIA 1-day pass, 7-day pass and 31-day pass are valid for the special events service.

The pick-up and drop-off location for rideshare users is located in Parking D, next to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, on the corner of Montana Street and Tower of Americas Way.

Entrance to the Alamodome

Please enter the stadium early to avoid long lines. Doors open to the public at 1:00 pm Fans must read the Alamodome’s clear bag policy before entering the stadium, including the list of approved bags. Speed ​​lanes will be available at security checkpoints for those without bags. Please have your keys, phone and wallet before reaching the scanners. Please have your tickets in hand or loaded on your phone with the screen brightness maxed out before reaching the doors.

Student seat is general admission in sections 122-131. To accommodate increased student attendance, sections 220-226 at the Club Level will also be open for general student admission slots. The Spirit of San Antonio band will occupy sections 127-128.

UTSA equipment

Fans can purchase the latest UTSA apparel and accessories at the Rowdy Campus Store, which will be installed on Lot B near Roadrunner Alley. Merchandise counters are also located inside the Alamodome in the Plaza Level lobby, near sections 106 and 118.


Television and radio broadcasts

Saturday’s game will be televised at the Stadium (KMYS-DT 35.3 in the San Antonio area). Josh Appel will provide step-by-step feedback alongside the analyst Sed Bonner.

The radio broadcast will be broadcast live on Ticket 760 AM in the San Antonio area and on channel 982 of the SiriusXM app. Andy Everett (game by game), Jay Riley (analyst) and Pat Evans (reporter) will call the action. The pre-game show will start at 12:30 pm and there will be a 45-minute post-game show. The radio broadcast can also be listened to online at and through the iHeartRadio and The Varsity Network apps.
