One lucky person is guaranteed to win a beautiful £3 million house in Cornwall, fully furnished and mortgage-free as part of a new prize draw to raise vital funds for Blood Cancer UK. The luxurious 4,200 sqm house – crowned Best New Build in Cornwall 2020 – sits on over five acres of land and has been designed to blend seamlessly into the surrounding Cornwall countryside.
The winner of the latest Omaze Million Pound House Draw will receive the keys to the four bedroom house, which offers unobstructed panoramic views of the Camel Estuary, just a mile away from Rock on the North Cornwall coast. The house is located in a quiet and private area, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Outside, it has a sun-filled south-facing terrace with unobstructed views over the estuary, as well as a hot tub and courtyard with exposed brick walls and a large fireplace.
The fully furnished property has been described as a marvel of modern architecture – it has an impressive open plan living space with a state of the art kitchen and dining room. The master bedroom has an en-suite luxury bathroom, while the other three doubles have en-suite shower rooms. The house even has a dedicated wet surf room.

The sustainable home is mortgage-free and all stamp duties and legal fees are covered. The winner will also receive £50,000 in cash to help him settle in – and will be free to live in the house, rent it out or sell it. If the winner decides to let it out, local estate agents estimate the property could bring in up to £15,000 a month for holiday letting during peak seasons.
As well as making the grand prize winner a multi-millionaire, the draw also supports Blood Cancer UK, a charity dedicated to funding research into blood cancers, including leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Blood Cancer UK is also committed to providing information and support to people with blood cancers, as well as improving early diagnosis rates. Currently, a quarter of people with blood cancers are diagnosed as an emergency because the symptoms can go undetected so easily.
The money raised through the Cornwall House Draw will help Blood Cancer UK fund more research to bring forward the day when blood cancer is finally beaten, and provide support and information to people affected by blood cancer. This innovative fundraising campaign with Omaze gives the charity a guaranteed minimum donation of £100,000 and has a target of at least £500,000.
The draw is supported by Olivier Award-winning actress and Blood Cancer UK supporter Dame Penelope Wilton, who has been involved with the cause since she appeared in the 2003 film Calendar Girls alongside Dame Helen Mirren and Dame Julie Waters. The film tells the story of a group of friends from the Women’s Institute inspired to create their own Pirelli-style nude calendar to raise money for Blood Cancer UK – after one of them, Angela Knowles, tragically lost her husband in February 1998. John lost to non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Dame Penelope Wilton said: “I worked on Calendar Girls almost 20 years ago – it told such a moving and inspiring story that I’ve been involved with Blood Cancer UK ever since. Their collaboration with Omaze is brilliant – it raises money and awareness for such an important charity. Their research is crucial to beating blood cancer and everyone who enters the draw will help support this incredibly valuable cause.”
James Oakes of Omaze added: “We are honored to partner with Blood Cancer UK for this home draw. By offering this dream home in Cornwall we are not only giving people the chance to win a great home but we are also raising money and introducing charities to a brand new audience. We are incredibly proud that the Omaze community has already raised £4,750,000 from UK charities since we launched in 2020.”
