About planned house renovations

According to Stoneacre Hospitality Group, all rooms and suites at The Chart House Inn are uniquely designed and named in honor of the wealthy women who charted their own courses in life and history, and from Rhode Island.

Earth tones fill the Maple Norman Pavilion, which honors the vast natural expanse of the nearby Norman Bird Sanctuary; The former home of Mabel Norman Sirio, a loving nature lover who donated her belongings to the community after her passing in 1949. The Jane Pickens Suite offers rich tapestries and Old Hollywood allure, reflecting not only the splendor and grandeur of the world cinema it overlooks but also the famous star herself. And a tribute to “America’s Bravest Woman” Pavilion Ida Lewis, a woman best known for viewing Newport’s historic Lime Rock Lighthouse and rescuing countless sailors over the years. The room offers a glimpse into the skyscrapers of New England and has nautical touches throughout to create a sea-filled haven.
