My Lottery Dream Home takes home buying in a whole new direction

HGTV’s popular show “My Lottery Dream Home” is back for its 12th season – host only David Bromstad Now helping homebuyers who bypass the usual lottery winners. His last clients have sadder reasons for looking for their homes.

In the twelfth season of the episode “Inspiration of the Heart”, Brumstad meets Sandra and Michael, a couple looking for a home in Burleson, Texas, which is outside Fort Worth. The couple has two sons but tragically lost their 10-year-old daughter in a car accident three years ago. Now, they are trying to move forward using the settlement money to buy a new home.

“I was inspired by the strength of Sandra and Mike,” Bromstad says. “Knowing that they have to take care of the rest of their children, they are doing everything they can to move on.”

The couple wants to spend between $600,000 and $750,000 to find a home that will help their family start over while also honoring their daughter’s memory.
