Home decor is an art form for many, and one woman shared the secret to her bathroom makeover while on a dollar store budget.
A DIY and lifestyle creator revealed to viewers on TikTok how she made a bathroom floor in designer mode for just $12.
A fan of lifestyle and self-life, known as badashbadashchick on Tiktok, Ash uses the platform to share with her viewers viewing videos, a day in her life and what she loves to buy.
Ash recently moved into a new apartment and decided to change her bathroom without breaking the bank.
She details her home hack and how she used dollar store items to spruce up her bathroom in a TikTok video
The entire project only cost her $12.
With the apt caption “My place is slowly but surely coming together,” Ash’s video takes viewers on a quick tour of how she transformed her apartment bathroom from dull to gorgeous by changing the floor.
The video begins with Ash showing viewers what her bathroom once looked like, with plain white tile floors, a white toilet, and a plush pink rug.
“I moved into my apartment in October and honestly hated what the bathroom floor looked like, so I went to Family Dollar and actually found 20 packs of self-adhesive tiles for $12,” says the creator.
The self-adhesive tile is the opposite of Ash’s previous tile with a vinyl finish and polished look.
Ash claims in the video that the whole process only took two hours to complete.
The products she used to remodel her bathroom floor are everyday items you might already have at home: a white eyeliner pencil, an X-Acto knife, and sharp scissors.

In the video, Ash says she made a couple of mistakes laying the tiles but covered them with a nice black carpet to hide any mistakes.
Many people in the comments section of the video praised her for her ingenious idea.
One viewer commented: “You helped the landlord…I wish the apartments would update more.”
“Wow, I hate my bathroom area and it’s so small! Use this idea. Thank you,” added another in support.
“This looks really good! You can also add caulking to fix any errors on the edges too!” Provided one user as a tip.
