Humane Society, Petco Love Hosts Free Pet Vaccination Event in North Myrtle Beach

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Pets will get free vaccinations next weekend thanks to the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach and Petco Love.

As part of Petco Love’s initiative to provide another 1 million free pet vaccines, the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach is hosting a free pet vaccine clinic on Saturday, June 3.

According to Petco Love, about 30% of pet parents don’t take their pet to the veterinarian annually for preventative care.

Serious diseases that affect pets Parvovirus and canine distemper and the most prevalent feline leukemia can be prevented with a simple vaccine.

The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach aims to vaccinate 300 pets through this effort.

The free vaccine clinic will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 3 at the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach at 409 Bay Street in North Myrtle Beach.

Vaccines distributed through the Petco Love program will be DAPPv Canine and HCP Feline vaccines. Rabies Vaccine will be offered for $10 and a microchip for $15. Each pet will receive a free identification tag.
