‘Jagged Little Pill’ Premiere Heads to Central Kentucky
The new season of PNC Broadway in Louisville doesn’t launch until October, but you won’t have to wait until then to enjoy a Broadway hit. As the curtain falls on “Anastasia,” the lights go on for the premiere of the Tony Award-winning production of “Jagged Little Pill.”
PNC Broadway in Louisville, in association with Kentucky Performing Arts, recently announced the upcoming Louisville premiere of the new musical, which is inspired by seven-time Grammy Award winner Alanis Morissette’s seminal rock album of the same name. Directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (“Waitress,” “Pippin”), “Jagged Little Pill” is about a perfectly imperfect American family. The Hollywood Reporter called it “electrifying, visceral and surprising”.

The team also includes set design by Riccardo Hernandez (“Parade”), costume design by Emily Rebholz (“Dear Evan Hansen”), lighting design by Justin Tomsend (“Moulin Rouge!”), sound by Jonathan Deans (“Waitress”) and the video. design by Lucy Mackinnon (“Spring Awakening”) and hair, wig and makeup design by J. 2022-23 season of PNC Broadway in Louisville
After the closing of “Anastasia” and “Jagged Little Pill”, there is less than two months left before the new season of PNC’s Broadway series. The 2022-23 season features an impressive lineup headlined by “Hadestown,” “Pretty Woman,” “Annie,” and “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
The six-show season kicks off on October 18 with “Fiddler on the Roof” followed by “Pretty Woman: The Musical” from November 29 to December 4. Then there’s “Annie” from February 14-19, 2023, “Aint Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations” from April 11-16, 2023, “Hadestown” from May 16-21, 2023,” Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird”, which closes the season from June 20 to 25, 2023.
