Galito’s, the popular grilled piri-piri chicken restaurant chain, officially launched its first branch in Bangladesh on January 22, 2023. Over the past decade, the popularity of healthy piri-piri grilled chicken had skyrocketed among foodies across the country. Tranz Ventures Limited decided to bring the international food chain Galito’s from South Africa, the land of piri-piri, to Bangladesh.

As a brand, Galito’s started its journey in 1996 in Mbombela, a small town in South Africa. Since then, over the past 27 years, Galito’s has gradually spread across the African continent and beyond. Currently, the brand has more than 230 franchise locations in 17 countries.

Originally made from a special kind of pepper, lemon juice and various secret spices from the land of Mozambique, Galito’s main attraction is the fire-grilled chicken marinated for 24 hours with piri-piri flavours. Not a drop of oil is used in the preparation of the meat, making it a low-fat and low-cholesterol meal. In addition, the restaurant offers a variety of delicious starters and side dishes, all prepared with high-quality, pure and fresh ingredients. Galito’s maintains unparalleled quality, promising health and flavor in every tasty bite.

The ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal said, “When I go to play abroad, I try to taste piri-piri chicken. To keep myself fit as a player, I always eat healthy and low-cholesterol foods. These kinds of foods are very important for us. I think everyone will love this healthy and delicious chicken recipe.”

Galito’s Gulshan outlet, located on Road 61, Gulshan 2, Dhaka (opposite the Australian Embassy) may be the only one serving delicious piri-piri chicken right now, but you can expect to see many more outlets at popular foodie- destinations in Dhaka. The chain’s owners hope the tangy, tangy flavors will tantalize the taste buds of food lovers in the city, and newer restaurants will allow everyone to enjoy true piri-piri whenever the craving strikes.
