Best Craft Storage Products 2022

We’ve heard from many of our readers that they picked up new hobbies during the pandemic, and now they’re embarking on more ambitious projects that require more supplies. Whether you’ve started knitting a temperature blanket or have mastered one of our easy sewing projects, it’s helpful to have designated storage space for all your craft supplies. And while I love looking at Pinterest craft spaces as much as the next person, it’s not a realistic storage solution for most of us.

Fortunately, there are plenty of ideas for storing crafts to suit your space (however small!).

Here are our favorite craft storage products to help you organize your space. Never keep this week’s project on the kitchen table again!

Best for small craft supplies: Storage box with 4 drawers

Thanks to Xyron

This 4-drawer storage box is ideal for smaller craft supplies such as embroidery floss, paint or paper craft supplies. It’s small enough to fit on a closet shelf, so it’s perfect for anyone who doesn’t have a lot of storage space or is just starting out and may not have a lot of materials yet.

Best Stacking Storage: Stackable Storage Drawers

This stackable organizational unit is one of our favorites for its adaptability. You can combine as many drawer sets as you like to create one large storage center, and you can easily add more as you gather more supplies. With all the drawers available in different sizes, you can customize them based on your exact products, and the clear drawers make it easy to see what materials you have so you can grab them quickly.

Best for Small Spaces: Stacking Mesh Drawers

This mesh chest of drawers is ideal for medium-sized craft materials such as yarn skeins and vinyl rolls. The drawers come in different sizes, so you can arrange them accordingly – and the mesh material makes it easy to see what you have without looking too cluttered. These are a bit more expensive, but they are part of a storage kit, so you can add matching pieces if needed.

Best Portable Craft Storage: Craft Storage Cart

Thanks to Ashley Furniture

When all you have is a bit of extra space in a closet, this little rolling craft cart makes good use of that space. It has drawers, shelves and bars on the side to store all your ribbons or tape. And the compartment inside the pack is long enough for all your wrapping paper! Just unroll it when you’re ready to craft and roll it back into its hiding place when you’re done.

Best Portable Workspace: Sewing Cart with Workspace

Thanks to Walmart

If you like the idea of a portable craft cart but need a little more storage space, we like this option because it doubles as a workspace. It has deeper drawers for larger supplies, along with stacked shelves so you can easily see what materials you already have. It has storage space on both sides for rolls of paper, tape or ribbon, and a flat workspace on the top so you can craft from anywhere in the house. It takes up quite a bit of floor space, so you’ll want a dedicated area to store it when you’re not using it.

Best for a craft closet: 4-drawer dresser

Thanks to Target

If you want to store larger materials out of sight, consider making a special chest of drawers that can be placed in a closet or in an extra bedroom. This is the one I use, and I love that I can store all my essentials in one place without it looking out of place in my apartment. My Cricut fits in the bottom drawer and the other three drawers are organized by craft supplies.
