CHARLOTTE – The Beechwood Organization will lay the foundation for four new luxury residential communities in early 2022, including 319 homes in the counties of Mecklenburg, Union and Catawba.

The first groundbreaking communities since Beechwood entered the Carolinas in May 2021 are in Union County.

The first is Weddington Glen, located off Providence Road and Hemby Road near I-485. Weddington has 35 estate homes, followed by Broadmoor with 62 private homes in Marvin.

Both communities lead two previously announced communities from Beechwood – Ferncliff in Cotswold, a community of five townhouses in Mecklenburg County and Lakeside Pointe on Lake Norman in Catawba County, with 217 new homes and a community marina a mixed-use community.

“As we grow our presence in Carolina, Beechwood has explored Weddington and each additional location in development as places where we can thoughtfully expand our portfolio,” said Regional President Robert Kardos. “We are excited to introduce our style of real estate and private homes befitting these incredible places and their residents, as they will be enjoyed for years to come.”

Weddington Glen estate homes will be priced at $900,000 with $1.2 million plus private homes. A mix of woodland and grassland home areas will be found throughout the community. Beechwood, on 48 acres, closed on December 13, 2021. Site development is expected to begin in early 2022 and home construction to begin in spring 2022.

Located on Waxhaw-Marvin Road in the heart of Marvin, Broadmoor at Marvin will host prices ranging from $1 million to $1.5 million. Beechwood said this 86-acre community will consist of well-appointed homes with innovative design and the latest smart home features. Beechwood closed on this property on December 15, 2021. Site development and home sales are expected to begin in spring 2022.

A third community is Ferncliff in the Cotswold and is named after the intersection of Providence Road and Ferncliff Road. Beechwood will build five townhouses priced between $750,000 and $1.2 million. This community is expected to break ground in mid-2022.

“Our vision at Beechwood is to adapt our signature home styles with local lifestyles,” said Principle Steven Dubb. We want them to have the following style and functionality, whether they’re first-time buyers of a family home, moving into a luxury property, empty slots looking for the ‘right size’, or city dwellers who value easy access to transportation and services. they need to enjoy daily life in the villages, towns and cities where they want to live in their homes.”
