Forget leprechauns and clovers…you’ll be very lucky to bring home one of these adorable felines, all waiting for their eternal home.
Cats for adoption on Long Island
Available for adoption at Smithtown City Animal Shelter
**Senior Alert** Susie Q is a 10-year-old Calico Domestic Medium Hair who arrived at the animal shelter after the death of her owner. She loved her father so much and it takes time for her to open up to new humans. Although she certainly has a shy side and enjoys spending time alone, she is very loving and gentle with people she is comfortable with. She has happily lived with two other cats in the past, so she can be adopted into a home with other feline siblings. Susie Q would do better in a patient, quiet home without children.
If you are interested in meeting Susie, please fill out an application and/or call 631-360-7575 today!

**Double Adoption** After being rescued from the local streets, Esme (adoption #BF3765) and Eagan (adoption #BF3766) needed a little tender loving care. They’ve been spending time together in a quiet room at Bianca’s Furry Friends feline adoption center, and everyone is thrilled with the rapid progress they’ve made!
Formally fearful, Eagan is completely open to the love and attention of cats and people. You’ll find her cuddling in a ray of sunshine with any of her friends, but she’ll follow you around for her serving of treats.
Esme has always been the more playful of the two. She is still a bit shy of human attention, so we are looking for a home with children over 12 and experienced adults to nurture the fear of beloved felines. You’ll be just as amazed as we are watching these tight-knit 2-year-old sisters discover the wonders of finally being part of a family!
Last year, the Animal League America team was alerted to an emergency where they discovered Montauk and several friends in need of assistance. They discover a quiet soul who finds great solace in her like-minded feline friends. Relearning his feelings about humans has sometimes been a struggle for Montauk, but every day we see him opening up a little more to the paws of a shared life with calm, experienced humans who can offer him a consistent, predictable and on. .
If you have a trusting cat at home who would love to share their happy experience with them, Montauk may prove to be the most loyal friend. A childless home will provide him with the optimal environment in which he can comfortably retreat. Montauk is the beginning – of a beautiful journey together.
**Double adoption** Chanel (adoption #H211594) and Dior (adoption #H211595) shy 9-month-olds are what’s hot for kittens this season. Although they need a little time and patience before they enjoy a spotlight on the catwalk, the reward is stroking their soft, velvety fur while they wait backstage! An experienced household with a cat (with children ages 12 and up who can contribute to the predictability of their new surroundings) will lead to a very fashionable future for the whole family. Invite them to your treat and game party and let the games begin. Useful tip: none of them can resist the lure of feathers! If you’d like to help Chanel and Dior get ready for the show, head over to Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center today!
Two-year-old Eggy (adoption #CO0014) was down on his luck when his rescuer discovered him, but the promise of safety soon led to the comfort of living indoors. While this big boy needs solace as he acclimates to this new situation, he’s adept at stealing the hearts of everyone he meets at Bianca’s Furry Friends feline adoption center. If you’ve ever had cats, you know the reward that confidence brings to a sensitive soul. A calm home (with children over 10) will lead Eggy on his new path to the tranquility and home he has long deserved.
**Double Adoption** From Puerto Rico, 10-month-old babies Arroz (Adoption #PR00203) and Frijole (Adoption #PR00204) go together like rice and beans! They overcame the shyness they showed when they first joined the North Shore Animal League America. In fact, they circle around their roommates at the Feather Olympics! Knowing that they can encounter new situations with a best friend by their side “more and more” will help them settle into their first real home. Older kids (6+) will help them integrate into family life, providing the stability and predictability that helps them thrive while enjoying their fun energy.
**Double Adoption** Shy 8-month-old sisters Tilly (adoption # H212144) and Tammy (adoption # H212145) were given the opportunity of a lifetime when their local rescuer placed them in the care of the shelter. While the sudden changes in their lives leave them slightly skeptical, these beauties support each other through the transition and would be wonderful additions to a quiet home with adopters determined to boost their confidence. Kids over 12 will have the patience to discover how treats and playtime also build these felines’ confidence and before you know it, you’ll have two adorable sisters thanking you for completing their rescue chapter of their story!
Two-year-old Lover Boi (Adoption #CO0021)’s names say it all, but since he’s everyone’s favorite subject, we’ll give you the details! Rescued locally by a Good Samaritan, this lucky wonder wants to impress you with her dashing beauty and twinkling purr. He’s quite the trap and hands out roses left and right in hopes it leads him to bliss forever after fairy tales are done. You might be the ONLY one for him if you rush to Bianca’s Furry Friends feline adoption center to meet him. You don’t want to miss a love like this!
Animal League America has given 6-month-old cute Pia (Adoption #BF4309) time to adjust to the safety of indoor life, and the time is what she’ll need to readapt to life with her. his real family. Because this little miss can feel overwhelmed in busy situations, she is looking for a home experienced with children over the age of 12 who will provide the stability Pia needs.
