The before and after pictures show Barney the adorable shepherd dog. After going to the barber shop for the first time
Barney desperately wanted a haircut when he was taken to the RSPCA.
Never well groomed, Old English Sheepdogs have a horrendously messy coat.
before his hair was trimmed Long, thick strands of hair covered his face. This makes it impossible to eat and drink properly.
But after cutting off 5 kg, Barney changed.
In addition to the lack of grooming, the 5-year-old, who is now cared for at the RSPCA’s Millbrook Animal Center in Woking, Surrey, was always caged inside and not exercised.
An RSPCA spokesman said: “Barney arrived at RSPCA care from his home in south London. He hasn’t been exercising, socializing or dressing for five years.”
‘When RSPCA animal rescue worker Chloe Wilson first saw her. She was shocked by its condition.’
The poor boy’s fur was so matted that he had to be given anesthesia so the veterinarian cut it off.
Chloe said: ‘It was too bad the matted fur covered his eyes. And it affected his eating and drinking.
‘Fortunately he has no health problems as a result of laying the bed.
‘It looks like a completely different dog after being well taken care of’
Milbrook manager Sue Walters said: ‘When Barney came to us He was very closed and terrified.
‘But our team gave him a lot of time to trust them. And now he’s coming in leaps and bounds. Now he really enjoys taking walks with people he knows and trusts.’
Now Barney is looking for a lovely new owner.
The dog only needs a home for adults and an owner experienced with Old English Sheepdogs who knows a lot about the breed – and who can follow his normal grooming requirements to ensure he doesn’t suffer from the “worst-to-know” kind of suffering. that again
Su added, ‘Barney needs a home that will take him slow and give him time to adjust and adjust to his new family and home environment.’
‘He wanted a sympathetic home where his new family realized it might take him a bit of time to bond with them.
‘Barney likes other dogs.
‘He’s been through some tough times. And he is becoming a beloved dog and deserves the best.’
